The main aim of our research is to improve the efficacy of anti-cancer efficacy of various immunotherapeutic approaches. We study the immune response in the preclinical mouse tumor models as well as in cancer patients samples. Currently, we focus on the mechanisms involved in tumor escape from immunosurveillance, and our special interest is in amino acids degrading enzymes that mitigate development of adaptive immunity. Additionally, we investigate the immunomodulatory effects of the photodynamic therapy of cancer and develop strategies aimed at generation of personalized mRNA-based vaccines for cancer.
